Product Overview

This service is tailored specifically for the Henry Supreme lever-action rifle chambered in .300 Blackout. We professionally shorten the barrel to your desired length and cut precise threads so the rifle is ready to accept most .30 caliber suppressors. This configuration takes full advantage of the .300 BLK cartridge’s performance in shorter barrels—helping maintain subsonic velocities and improving handling.

What’s Included:

We start by removing the barrel and securely fixturing it in our lathe. The barrel is cut to your specified length—typically between 8” and 12” for optimal subsonic performance—then turned and threaded. We use a 5/8x24 TPI thread pitch unless otherwise requested, which fits the majority of .30 cal suppressors and muzzle devices. Threads are cut concentric to the bore for proper alignment and safety. If the barrel doesn’t offer a clean shoulder for your suppressor to seat against, we’ll face it square or install a precision alignment shim.

Why It Matters:

The .300 Blackout cartridge is specifically engineered to perform well in short barrels. By cutting down the barrel, subsonic ammo stays subsonic—making it quieter and more consistent when suppressed. You also gain a more compact and maneuverable rifle without sacrificing performance.

Alignment and Safety:

After threading, we check every barrel with a suppressor in-house to confirm concentricity and alignment. However, because tolerances can vary between suppressor models and mounting systems, we always recommend that you verify alignment with a suppressor rod using your own can before live fire. This final check ensures safe suppressed operation on your specific setup.

Finishing Touches:

We do not typically refinish the threaded area, but upon request we can apply cold bluing or Cerakote black to help protect the muzzle and match the factory finish. The crown is always cleaned up for accuracy, and threads are gauged for fitment.

Warranty Information

All barrel chop and threading work performed by Swamp Yankee Arms is backed by a lifetime workmanship guarantee. We stand behind the precision and safety of our threading process. If there are any issues related to the quality of the cut, thread pitch, concentricity, or crown finish as a result of our work, we will correct the issue at no cost to you. This warranty does not cover damage caused by: – Improper suppressor mounting – Failure to check alignment with a suppressor rod before firing – Use of damaged or out-of-spec suppressors – Modifications made after the service was completed – Wear and tear from normal use We check all threading in-house using a suppressor and alignment rod, but due to tolerance differences between suppressor models and mounting systems, we require customers to verify alignment with their own suppressor and rod before live fire. This is standard safety practice and a condition of our warranty. If you have any concerns about your build after service, contact us immediately. We’re committed to doing it right—and making it right if there’s ever an issue.
