AEM5 5.56 Silencer (black)

The AEM5 (OPS INC 12th Model) was the contracted suppressor for the MK12 SPR program and was used on a variety of MIL/LE precision rifles. The AEM5 attaches to the weapon via a muzzle device and a collar that goes over the barrel for alignment. The repeatability of the suppressor after being removed from the rifle with the original collar system is sought after for precision rifles. While the AEM5 is relatively long at 8.8″, it only adds 6.2″ past the end of the muzzle.

This can is most at home on an 18" or 16" MK12, but it works in a pinch as a stand-in on Gordy-ish (12.5" usually) carbines. With the use of an Otter Creek over-the-barrel one-piece mount, use of the can is greatly simplified since you no longer need a properly profiled barrel and the appropriate collar.
