The Super Thug (ST) is CAT’s first generic 5.56mm suppressor, purpose built to run across all traditional 5.56mm barrel lengths without platform specific tuning or compromises. It is engineered for users who demand superior combined reduction of the top five modern suppressor categories – sound, flash, blast propagation, toxic fume and durability from any 5.56mm host. Building off its predecessor, the WB, the added length of ST is not cosmetic; it enables a new internal architecture that delivers a measurable increase in real world performance. ST’s new SBX geometry is specifically tuned to manage the violent pressure spike inherent to 5.56mm across short, mid, and full length barrels. The result is a suppressor that runs quieter, cooler, and flatter, with dramatically reduced forward concussive over pressure. Flash signature is driven to near disappearance in Inconel variants, even on aggressive barrel lengths, while the refined flow path stabilizes back pressure for reliable cycling without tuning gymnastics.
